Jill Bianco selected to play women baseball in Hong Kong
Hello,
I am proud to share that I was selected to play for North American Liberty Belles women baseball team. It consists of 11 players from all over USA and 1 player from Canada. We are participating in the 2009 Phoenix Cup Women International Baseball tournament in Kowloon, Hong Kong on February 14-17th. We will be facing several different countries to reach for the Cup.
I am also proud to say that I am only Deaf player on the team and possibly the only Deaf in the whole tournament. My goal is to bring home the Cup for us North Americans and to show the world that myself as a Deaf female player is capable of playing at this level. I also want to break the barrier that we Deaf people have in this world by the stereotype that we are stuck with based on majority's view.
The trip is not cheap. I am doing some fund raising for my trip to Hong Kong. It would be greatly appreciated if you could help some and be part of my journey. Just click on the link which would lead you for the contributions. Thank you.
